5 Things That Made Me Smile This Week

1. Little Bear's First Steps. They were to Big Bear, of course! He's always been the favourite which is actually really nice to see.
2. Goldilocks Feeling Special. We were reading a story called "The Things I Love About Bedtime" which talks about the special parts of the bedtime routine. I asked Goldilocks what made her feel special and she replied "Walking to school, with Daddy. We play Cars and try to win the Piston Cup. This makes me the specialest person in the world."
3. Big Bear's Surprise Early Visit. When Big Bear turned up 20 minutes early for the school run the other morning I thought I was going mad, or sending Goldilocks to school extremely late!
4. Empty Plates. As you can probably imagine, being virtually housebound is very boring, so I decided to start cooking as something to do. Tuesday (or Wednesday?) was Cheese & Onion Potato Pie. Little Bear hadn't had it yet and Goldilocks hadn't had it since she'd decided she no longer liked mashed potato but it was a complete success - both plates completely empty!
5. Iconicles. It's a relatively new programme on CBeebies. I actually hated it up until a few days ago. It came on just after Goldilocks had come home from school and in her sweetest singing voice she sang the theme tune word for word while doing this cute little dance! I melted - she obviously really liked the programme - I've had the theme tune in my head ever since.
